Sanders Riddle Rijm - Penguin’s Graffiti

In a mall, by the wall, a penguin sprayed, not small,

His flippers fast, his art vast, colors called.

A cop, she watched, her eyes locked, on art sprawled,

But with a dash, in a flash, he evaded her thrall.

Through the halls, past the stalls, the penguin fled, enthralled,

His graffiti bright, under light, shoppers appalled.

The cop in chase, at a pace, through shoppers stalled,

Yet our artist in black and white, escaped, never to be hauled.

With sprays and lines, he defines, his message scrawled,

A mural of dreams, it seems, in the mall installed.

The cop, now slow, lets him go, her duty forestalled,

For art had won, the chase done, the penguin not caught but called.

His tag, a sign, a design, in the mall enthroned,

A waddle, a glide, he did hide, his talent honed.

The cop, bemused, slightly amused, her mind blown,

For the penguin's art, from the start, had brightly shone.

In the atrium's glow, the penguin's show, had grown,

A spectacle made, no need for shade, his cover flown.

The cop, now keen, on the scene, her interest sown,

Admired his work, with a smirk, respect was shown.

The penguin, sly, under sky, through the glass dome,

Left his mark, sparked a lark, in the shopping home.

The cop, in awe, dropped her jaw, no need to comb,

For the penguin's art, from the heart, was a welcome tome.
